70 years of state-instilled atheism alienated Russian Jews from their religion, traditions and community also depriving them of necessary skills and knowledge needed to restore the institutes of Jewish life. Aspiring to reconnect Russian Jews to their heritage and their people around the world, JDC supports a network of Jewish community centers that offer diverse cultural, educational and community programs aimed at restoring Jewish self-identification, promoting traditional Jewish values and establishing spiritual connection with the State of Israel.
