Repairing the world through good deeds, “tikkun olam” is one of the key principles of Judaism. “One saved life is a universe saved” – under this slogan JDC comes to rescue to people in distress regardless of their nationality. We join efforts with other charities and use our infrastructure to save human lives around the world. Whether it is rescue aid for tsunami victims or psychological assistance to children and families in Beslan – JDC immediately mobilizes to provide support and implement projects aimed at overcoming the acutest humanitarian crises around the world.
In 2007, JDC initiated its Women’s Health Empowerment Program in the framework of the international development program. Conducted in the partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the project supports breast cancer survivors and encourages early detection of breast cancer.
Women’s Health Empowerment Program
The project supports women with breast cancer, promotes awareness through educating the public about the disease and enhances cooperation between patients and health professionals.
